Is it possible to recieve calls from GSM and forward to SIP
Hi,
I am planning to purchase a bunch of VoIP-GSM gateways and I come across the MobiGater Mini.
Unfortunately, from the description on the web-site it is unclear if it is possible to accept calls from GSM network and automatically forward them to SIP network (Mbigater being a SIP endpoint registrering dynamically within a third party REGISTRAR)?
It is also not clear is it possible to make peer-to-peer calls from Mobigater to a sip proxy or it works strictly in "Endpoint->SIP REgistrar" environment"..
Please, let me know if this is possible.
Thank you.

RE: Is it possible to recieve calls from GSM and forward to SIP
MG device have to be connected via USB port to PC.

- If PC is under Windwos (XP up to SP2 or Windows 2003 Server) we provide a software which you enter your desired sip provider settings (user, pass, reg.server, stun, ...) and incoming GSM call can dial with DTMFs desired numbers via sip OR can be set automatically to forward incoming GSM calls to a predefined sip number).
Also (if allowed) incoming sip call will be automatically forwarded via GSM to predefined phone number.

- If PC is under linux - you can use it with asterisk like trunc (some software that might help under linux).

So, under Windows XP
1. it is possible to AUTOMATICALLY forward calls coming from GSM network to a SIP server - right?
2. Which source and destination number will the call have on the way from your device to a SIP server (in case of a call from GSM to VOIP)? Actually, my main question is: will the source number be transparently forwarded from GSM->device to the device->SIP legs of the call? I mean I need to get the real calling party number on the SIP server, when the call reaches it. Is it possible?

RE: Is it possible to recieve calls from GSM and forward to SIP
1. Yes.
2.
- Under XP: incoming GSM call is answered by ouw software and then sip call is started, so incoming callerID will be the sip's user id registered in server.
- Under linux with asterisk (as trunc): real number of the caller (callerID) will be received in asterisk server.
