I'm looking at the manual and from what I see it's only possible to use the Mobigater device with a computer running Skype. Are you planning to make a computer-free version of the device that will implement the Skype protocol itself? So you can just hook it up to a switch, configure it trough a web interface and use it while the pc is off?
Mobigater is a great device, but its not practical to have your pc switched on the whole time. I think it would provide much greater scalability if you could use it without a pc. |

RE: Mobigater with no computer?
What's about the SIP and/or IAX protocol? I'm looking for a standalone SIP/GSM gateway.

RE: Mobigater with no computer?
SIP under Windwos is supported with our MobiGater SIP product.
The hardware is the same, just software is different in Plus (Skype), Pro (Skype) and SIP models. We don't have IAX client under Windows. SIP/IAX under Linux is supported in Asterisk with Celliax. No drivers are required. MobiGater device is standard AT modem and sound card. P.P I see in the other thread that you manage to configure device under Lunux. |

RE: Mobigater with no computer?
You can configure it as you wish: sip extension or trunk in your Asterisk via Celliax driver.
MobiGater device is standard AT modem and sound card. For all linux related questions, go to Celliax developer's forum http://www.gsmopen.com/forum/1 |
