Hi forum,

i read about mobigater on this asterisk specific site. I didn't have any idea how to integrate mobigater sip directly with an asterisk box under linux. Do you have a channel driver for it? Or does it work only with a windows pc on which the mobigater sip box is connected?
Is it possible to connect multiple megiator sip boxes to one pc (windows or linux)?

We do not provide аny channel drivers for Linux.
MobiGater is SoundCard and standard AT modem.
It can be integrated in asterisk with Celliax.
There is one example in the FAQ (last topic).

You can connect many devices under Linux.

Many devices under Windows with Skype version are possible now (up to 4 Skype's clients (Skype under Windows restriction)) and soon will be possible with our SIP client (no limitations except computer's hardware).

Ok. I understand. I have to look at Celliax if I want to integrate your mobigater sip box into asterisk.

Another question:

Is it possible to send and receive SMS with the box? Are there any AT commands to do this?

Yes, you can.
SMS AT commands are described in GSM07.05 command set

What's the maximum of installed devices on one computer you tested? Where are the limitations? Speed of CPU? RAM? Number of USB Ports?

Maximum we test:
4 devices in Windows (Skype under Wundwos restriction).
8 devices in Linux - they can be more but not tested.

I installed and tested mobigater sip with the celliax cd. First of all I had to make the file "session" in the "config.tbz" executable. After that it starts.

But the speaker device is too quiet. I switched all alsamixer devices to 100% but it's really too quiet.

Is there any way to make it louder? Perhaps, is there an AT command for it?

I use this configuration:
usb headset - eaybeam (softphone) - celliax - mobigater sip

The volume of the mic on the usb headset is working well with another asterisk installation but not with celliax.

After looking into the config files I found

celliax.conf

Quote:boost = +1
playback_boost=1

In another celliax.conf on the web I found also:
capture_boost=1

After playing a while with the alsamixer and the playback_boost parameter, which can have the values -40 ... +40, it is working. I think that's it.

You could make the installation on celliax easier if you change the flags of the file "xsession" in the "config.tbz" to executable.
