DTMF problems
Hi,
I have Mobigater Pro for Skype and I have problems with DTMF tones trough my cell phone /AT&T USA/ If I use cellphone not in 3G mode it works just fine, If I switch the phone to 3G and the phone is connected to 3G network /3G icon is displayed/ the Mobigater does not recognize the DTMF sent from the Cell phone. The tones are audible but relatively short. Please help me to sort this problem out so I will be able to use the Mobigater device in normal way. Thank you |

RE: DTMF problems
(07-05-2010 06:47)TheGunMan Wrote: Hi, Hi, exactly the case with my 3G modem. I can call my laptop and have a call answered but while call is on, pressing phone's keys generates DTMF of much longer duration, not supported by Asterisk. As voice call is not data, so voice call is not handled as 3G media. So mayby phone app is to blame for DTMF signalling transcoding ? But it looks really strange, as I press a key on my mobile's keyboard for a short moment and can hear 1 s duration DTMF code in headphone connected to my laptop. Any idea ? |

RE: DTMF problems
I suppose you can turn up the volume of the DTMF tones in the Windows Audio / Sound control panel. Mobigater shows up there as C-Media audio device. Go to "input" and increase the volume, it's worth a try I'd say.

RE: DTMF problems
Hi Rogierh,
This is to confirm that all the steps described in the link provided are comleated before psoting and there is no result Again, it looks like the DTMF is short /when sent during conversation it is short and there is no way to make it longer/ |

RE: DTMF problems
Ask your mobile operator why DTMFs are diferent in 2G - 3G.

RE: DTMF problems
MobiGater program meet full DTMF standard.
(Might be your operator use out of standard DTMFs to avoid cross-operators call-transfers.) Changing DTMF duration to shorter values (which are out of DTMF's standard) will recognize normal DTMF tones twice (dublicate digits). Also there is no way to know if calling phone is on 2G or 3G. |

RE: DTMF problems
The Mobigater is working fine for me. It seems that you have a problem in your mobile operator. You must ask them for your inquiries.
