MobiGater

Hey there,

For some reason, the Mobigater I have been trying to install consistently does not actually forward the skype calls it receives.

I have followed the instructions very carefully, on multiple computers with multiple SIM cards. The SIM cards work when I use them in phones, but seem to not work in the Mobigater. After I set up everything, and all the LEDs are fine, and Mobigater is connected to Skype, and takes calls from skype, I try calling the skype account. It forwards me, and gives me the forwarding message, and the Mobigater interface shows that a call is being forwarded, but the phone it is being forwarded to does not ring.



I have tried this using many different phone numbers, and different SIM cards, and different computers. I am using the Mobigater Mini (which I do not think needs a power supply). Help?

Update:

I tried a different cell carrier, and it worked. I was using Tigo before, which did not work. I switched to a Claro SIM card, and it worked!

Any ideas about how I could get the Tigo chip to work? Can we make the chip work with the mobigater? Is it some sort of formatting issue?

Ask you mobile operator `Tigo` if there are any restriction of some devices. You can bring MobiGater and test at their office.
Ask your mobile operator about GSM caverage bands. MobiGater have only GSM bands (900/1800/1900 MHz) and can not work with UMTS/3G coverages.
