Thanks for sharing your experience Sml27, there are many tweaks that can be made but this is only as much as simple example how to attach the device for people familiar with Asterisk Sml8
Now, I installed the mobigater sip box a with celliax on a trixbox. But I got no sound Frusty

I searched the web and found this solution:

Quote:I understand perfectly that alsamixer is not at all easy to use!!!!! (almost all things from ALSA seems to suffer from a difficult to understand interface :( )

You have to use this command:

"alsamixer -c 0 -V all"

then mute the mic (pressing "m" while you have the "mic" column highlighted). An "M" will appear on the "mic" column.

then activate capture on "mic" column (pressing the space bar while you have the "mic" column highlited). A capture sign will appear on the "mic" column. If you mistakenly disactivate the capture on the "mic" column, just press space bar again on the "mic" column.

then up the volume of the "capture" column, with the up arrow while you have the "capture" column highlighted (not on the "mic" column, go to the right side and you'll find the "capture" column toward the end).
Thank for information.
The last FAQ update in the begining of this month was incude alsamixer setup.
Hello. I have been able to set up Mobigater SIP with asterisk + celliax. However I'm having echo problems. The person on the SIP side hears himself.
The setup consists of a mobigater connected to a linux box running asterisk with celliax channel, and a sip hardphone. When Mobigator is connected to a windows box, and the call is redirected to a (linux) asterisk and then routed to the hardphone, the echo is virtually inexistent. There is no echo on the mobile side (somebody calls the mobigator number from a cellphone).

Thanks.

As we talk in Skype, SoundCard in MobiGater do not have LineIn and can't return played sound to microphone and the possible reasons are:
1. Sound (echo) is returned via GSM (mobile phone).
2. if device is some kind short-circued with with headphoens/mic output/inpiut on the back side of MG.
3. device is broken: short-circued somewhere inside

Many devices under Windows with Skype version are possible now (up to 4 Skype's clients (Skype under Windows restriction)) and soon will be possible with our SIP client (no limitations except computer's hardware).

What is this mean ? In other thread you said that it is not possible to use multiple mobigaters in one windows Pc. Please clarify.
Sorry, it was possible on old Skype version 2.x with many Windows users under XP SP1. But with new Skype versions and new XP SPx we can't mange to start it. So it is not possible.
