Hi! Just a quick comment. I'm a big fan o your equipment, particularly the mini, sleek design, no external power source and stable with Windows 7 if using skype. I have recently moved to SIP and disappointed that will have to run XP again to make use of my Mobigater with SIP!

Not only that but the quality of calls using SIP in a windows XP SP2 installation is barely acceptable, while a skype connection through mobigater works great. As I see from my experience the equipment is not really suitable as a SIP solution but nearly a exclusive SKYPE solution... I did test with 3 different SIP providers and two different computers... My felling is it's in the Mobigater SIP software

Any plans for a newer version of your Mobigater for SIP software with some badly needed improvements?
No plans at the moment.
Hi icbraz,

In very short time I have developed tools for testing sound quality in SIP telephony ( Asterisk).

I am really surprised, developer of Celliax audio channel for Asterisk ( both Linux and Windows versions) is not cooperative in discussing SIP audio quality problems for users of his Celliax.

(it looks to be another lost open project, no more supported by its developert).

Interest in Asterisk community, Digium staff in connecting GSM mobile phone to Asterisk server is low, very low, there is no interest at all, to be frankly.

I am sreally surprised, as Asterisk + Celliax + MobiGater + GSM Mobile Phone is really an excellent solution - Mobile Asterisk - I am working on.

To overcome problems with Celliax audio channel in Asterisk ( no support)
I use System commands and move to Astlinux ( as I previously tested Asterisk for Windows Vista).

Astlinux is a nice solution as it comes as portable USB pen drive solution,
Linux + Asterisk + Freeswitch, all in one.

There is something wrong with SIP, Asterisk,
if building Mobile Asterisk + GSM
I must spend weeks on discussion basic questions like how to connect GSM mobile phone to Asterisk server.

What is easy should be done and discussed within one day.

Please tell me about your experience with SIP in Windows 7 or Windows XP as I use Asterisk for Vista Windows.

Is there something special with MobiGater for Vista vs. Windows XP ?
